Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program
Fresh Start Therapeutic Services is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) offering community-based, individualized support for children ages 5-17 and adults 18 and older who need additional behavioral health care.
PRP services complement therapy and counseling, with FSTS supporting individuals in navigating the mental, emotional, and physical effects of a mental health diagnosis. Our rehabilitation services empower clients to set and achieve both immediate and long-term goals, recognize their strengths and areas for growth, and find relief from distressing symptoms such as anger, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment challenges.

Service Delivery & Approach
Services are provided both on-site in the office and off-site in clients’ homes and within the community. Our PRP services are structured to enhance social and life skills, with staff assisting clients in making decisions related to home, school, work, and community involvement. Staff also help clients access various community resources. All services are age-appropriate, relevant, and designed for convenience in terms of timing and location.
Referral Process
Clients must be referred for PRP services. Referrals are accepted from mental health counselors/therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals.
Eligibility and Additional Support
Clients receiving therapeutic services from an outpatient mental health clinic or a private therapist are eligible for PRP services. These services address medication management, mental health treatment, physical activity, recreation, nutrition, daily living skills, and somatic health. If clients are not currently engaged in therapy, FSTS staff will assist in linking them to therapists and/or psychiatrists.
